Social Darwinism is Wrong - Darwin Didn't believe in Darwinism
Social Darwinism is wrong in many ways, including morally, ethically, in developing a healthy and prosperous society, but additionally as well it fails to acquire merit when examined in a scientific mindset, as well. Darwinism, or perhaps more pointedly Social Darwinism, fails to grasp fundamental aspects of evolution, genetics, and general science. Promoting the philosophy when an intent of legitimate social or political change based off of the ideas is not only disgusting, horrifying, and perhaps even morally wrong, but also dangerous to society as a whole, who will need proper frameworks and methods of actions to continue to operate successfully.
Primary issues regarding the failures of Social Darwinism include the fact that Darwin did not support the idea, even from a utilitarian perspective it's less effective than working with each other to help one another, and the fact that in general the generally accepted body of knowledge among scientists within this field disagree with assessments made by the arguments of Social Darwinism, and premier advocates of it. However, in general, it would be a bad methodology for society, or perhaps anyone, to adopt to govern their lives and how they operate in it.

Contrary to the idea of the "survival of the fittest", Darwin more specifically meant the survival of species that can fill particular niches, or that best fit their environment, and not those that were superior of greater than another.
